VISITING
Before you arrive
Do I need to book in advance?
Walk-ins are always welcome when there's space. Booking ahead guarantees your spot. Check availability and book through the schedule page.
What do I need to bring?
Two towels, one for showering before and after your session and one to dry off between rounds, plus a robe if you like. Bathers are required unless the session is clearly marked clothing optional or nude bathing. We provide slippers, bench towels, filtered water, herbal tea and hydration salts. Bring a water bottle to refill during your session.
How long is a session?
Two hours from your booking time. For the last session of the day, the venue's closing time still applies. Note that your booking includes time to shower before and afterwards, please factor that in for your session timing.
How do I get there? Is there parking?
We're at 7 Quinns Avenue, Leura. We have limited parking on site, otherwise there's street parking on Quinns Avenue, Leura Mall, or the nearby Woolworths car park. If you'd rather take the train, we're a 5-minute walk from Leura station, about two hours from Sydney Central on the Blue Mountains Line.
Can children come?
Yes, we're an all-ages facility. Kids under 18 are $20 per session, purchased in-store. Anyone under 16 must be with a parent, guardian or consenting adult and supervised throughout. Children aged 16 and 17 can attend unaccompanied with consent from a legal guardian.
SESSIONS
In the heat
Is it mixed gender?
Most sessions are mixed. Men's Wellbeing (Clothing Optional) runs Tuesdays 7–9pm, and Women's Wellbeing (Clothing Optional) runs Thursdays 7–9pm. Both are single-sex. All other sessions are mixed.
Do I have to be naked?
Swimwear is required in general sessions. Our Men's and Women's Wellbeing sessions are clothing optional. The one exception is our monthly mixed Birthday Suit session in partnership with Get Naked Australia, where nudity in the sauna is required.
What temperature are the saunas?
The Aufguss, our electric sauna, holds a steady 90°C. The Savusauna, our woodfired smoke sauna, sits between 80 and 100°C depending on the time of day. It's hottest when freshly heated: 2pm on weekdays, 11am on weekends. There are no adjustable thermostats, thermometers or timers. The heat is alive, evolving as the day goes on.
What's a silent session?
Early mornings (7–9am) and evenings (6–9pm) are silent sessions. Please keep conversation out of the Aufguss sauna and the cold plunge area during these times. Calm, quiet conversation is welcome in the Savusauna, our smoke sauna. The rest of the day runs as regular sessions, with respectful conversation levels welcome in both saunas and the wet areas.
Do I spend my whole two hours inside the sauna?
No, a two-hour session allows time to shower before your session, enjoy three to four rounds of the Sit Sweat Chill Repeat cycle, and shower and get changed afterwards. Sauna is not meant to be rushed.
Should I keep track of my sauna and cold plunge time?
If you really must, but we'd encourage you to simply listen to your body and avoid pushing yourself just to tick a box. Sauna and cold contrast is all about passive wellbeing and community.
Can I bring a book, kindle or phone into the sauna?
No, it's not the right environment for electronics or printed media. Devices with lithium batteries should not be anywhere near that kind of heat, for your safety and the safety of others. Leave your phone in your locker, but do bring a book or magazine if you'd like, to enjoy in our rest areas.
Can I bring my water bottle into the sauna?
It depends. Metal heats up quickly and can be uncomfortable to the touch, glass shatters and is not allowed in the wet areas or saunas, and plastic can break down at high temperatures. As long as you stay hydrated between rounds you don't need to bring your water bottle in with you.
I'm pregnant or breastfeeding. Can I use the sauna?
Please speak with your doctor before using the sauna or cold plunge. It's a conversation worth having first.
I have a health condition. I'm not sure if I should use the sauna.
Please speak with your healthcare professional before attending. We're not able to give medical advice, but we're happy to answer any questions about the facility that might help inform that conversation.
PASSES & MEMBERSHIPS
Packs, passes and plans
Can I share my pack with someone?
Yes, within reason. You can bring friends or family on your pack as long as you're saunaing together. Book a slot for each bather, but your passes can't be redeemed without you present. Larger packs (20+) can be shared with one other nominated person. You can arrange this in-store.
How long are passes valid for?
Two years from purchase, unless otherwise communicated. Unused packs can be transferred to another guest; partially used packs cannot be transferred or refunded. Gift vouchers are valid for three years from purchase.
How do shared memberships work?
Shared memberships cover you plus one nominated person: a partner, parent, child or sibling, fixed for each three-month cycle. Minimum three-month commitment, weekly billing, and you can freeze once per cycle for one to four weeks. Memberships are not transferable, and unused weekly sessions don't roll over. Individual memberships cannot be shared with anyone else.
What's the cancellation policy?
Cancel a booking with more than four hours notice and the session returns to your account.
