SAUNA IN ITS
TRUEST FORM.

Nude & Clothing-Optional

In much of Europe, this is just sauna.

For most of the world that grew up around sauna, bathing without textiles isn't a statement, it's hygiene. Swimwear isn't built to breathe, and its synthetic fibres hold chemicals, sweat and bacteria. In real heat those plastics break down, and all of it ends up on the benches, in the cold plunge, and back on the skin of everyone bathing. Bare skin against towel and wood is simply cleaner, and the heat moves across the body the way it's meant to.

It's also the great leveller. Stripped of labels and logos, there's no telling the banker from the bricklayer, only people sharing the same heat. The self-consciousness most of us carry tends to dissolve somewhere in the first few minutes: when everyone is a little exposed, no one is. People leave a touch kinder to themselves, having quietly realised the room was never studying them at all.

We make room for it gently: single-sex nights to ease in, Men's Wellbeing Tuesdays 7–9pm and Women's Wellbeing Thursdays 7–9pm; a calm daytime session for mums and their little ones, Mums & Bubs fortnightly Tuesday 12–2pm; and a monthly mixed session with Get Naked Australia, Birthday Suit last Sunday 10am–3pm. Nudity is for the sauna and cold plunge; the rest areas stay clothed.

Birthday Suit Sessions

Birthday Suit is our monthly mixed-gender, fully nude sauna session, run in partnership with Get Naked Australia, the country's largest body-positive community.

Get Naked Australia is a movement built on a simple idea: nudity in everyday, non-sexual settings is healthy, normal, and good for the way we see ourselves. They bring people together at beaches, bushwalks, pools and events around the country, challenging shame and celebrating every kind of body. Birthday Suit is the regular sauna chapter of that movement.

The atmosphere is relaxed, respectful and entirely non-sexual, and we keep it that way on purpose. Every place is confirmed through a booking request, so each room stays balanced and everyone in it is there for the right reasons. New to it? The easiest way in is alongside someone, a partner or a close friend, or once you've found your feet at one of our single-sex wellbeing nights. Nude in the sauna and cold plunge, clothed in the rest areas, the same as every other session.

How to join.

  1. 01

    Register once

Birthday Suit sessions are by registration-only. Fill in the form once, your name, contact and a couple of expectations, and you're on the GNA list.

  2. 02

    Request a booking

When a session opens we email the list to announce that booking requests are open. Send yours through via the booking request form.

  3. 03

    Wait for confirmation

Our team confirms places to keep every session balanced across genders. Priority goes to previous Birthday Suit attendees, men's and women's wellbeing regulars, and couples or friends attending together.

  4. 04

    Purchase your passes

Confirmed spots are pre-purchased to secure them. No-shows throw out the gender balance we work hard to hold, so a booking is a real commitment.

  5. 05

    Show up

You're now part of changing the culture around nudity in Australia, one nude sweat at a time.
